Sleeping Sea

II Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya II

Mumbai night, sea side delight;
Beach flat, tide somewhat;
Tender coconut, roasted maize;
Mineral water, raw mango tester;
'Jhal' they sell, soap bubble they fly;
Couples meet, not so neat;
Twinkling star, boats so far;
People crowd, have to talk loud;
Comes morning with morning sea; fishermen, joggers, and brisk walkers to see;
Beach designed with pigeons' feet marks; as if design on sand is someone's defined  carpet work;
Shoe prints, silent streets;
Goes morning for day, sea remains ground for few children to play;
Silence till infinite sea sight, can see some boats and ships in bright sunlight;
Goes day, silently enters the night; again find the delight of Mumbai sea side night.

Social Media Planning Agency

II Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya II

Social media planning agency finds social media platforms to project the client’s brand or products for advertisement at least CPM (cost per thousand), unit which determines the cost to reach thousand prospective customers per unit cost. Its purpose includes locating the target audience and the market for the brand or the product. It displays the advertisement on such platforms to deliver its clients maximum media effectiveness at the best possible price.
Social media planning agency keeps the existing and potential customers engaged with consistent and relevant dialogue in a non-obtrusive manner, to extend the reach of the market through comprehensive referrals and recommendations.
As the statistics goes the advertising message should be projected at least three or more times before the prospective customer takes action. The social media planning agency decides the frequency for the exposer of the advertisement on the social media to achieve the marketing campaign objectives. The task of the social media agency is also to understand the reach of the advertising message, such as if it is to be localised to certain group or should it reach the masses. Based on it, the social media planning agency decides the combination of the media in which it should project the advertising message.

It plans the scheduling of the message such as time of the day, days of the month and months of the year when the market for the product or the brand is available, depending on which it projects the advertisement message.

Social media planning agency advantages includes easy access to the platforms. The professionals plan to get maximum effect from the exposer of the products in terms of reaching maximum prospective customers at minimum effort of the client cost effectively. Apart from it, the small firms who cannot spend sufficiently for campaigning in mass media can consider social media to get exposer at lower cost. The companies which serve locally need not project their brands in mass media to the whole nation or world. In their case, social media planning agency can play vital role in exposing their service to the prospective customers.

The number of social media is constantly increasing and changing. A professional researching on the social media platforms can more effectively decide how to use the platform more efficiently than a naive in the field. It is where social media planning agency finds its existence.

In A Traffic Jam

II Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya II

Mumbai is known for traffic jam among Juhu Beach, Bollywood, Cricket, Sensex, Market, young hunks, and others. I was in Mumbai with my husband on his official tour. It was summer in Mumbai and we were staying in a luxurious AC hotel. So we were comfortable in the summer in this hotel and whenever we had to go for outing, we used the luxurious car provided by the company. Summer of Mumbai was in no way affecting us. They say ‘the middle class are the most affected class in every situation’ and now we were living upper middle class life style. So, we were not affected at all situations; particularly climate and grocery were not affecting us anymore.
However that day was not like every day. We had a hectic day that day. It was Monday and my hubby was on leave so that we could go for a site view of the city. We went to Juhu beach, Marine drive, flats of Bollywood stars, and then we were moving towards the hotel to have our lunch. It was 12.30 PM and it started to rain heavily. We were at a distance of an hour from our hotel and we got stuck in a traffic jam. The vehicles were jam pack till infinity as far as eyes go. It was raining, and we were in the AC car. But when it was half an hour in the jam, my husband asked the driver to turn off the AC and slide down the car windows and the driver followed. The rain was pouring heavily and the water level on the roads was constantly rising. We had no idea when we could get out of the jam as it seemed very uncertain to disperse in another two to three hours.
On one side was standing a red Santro with its windows closed and they had put their AC on. Three young boys were in the car and three of them were sleeping. The rain was pouring and the water level now has risen up to drown the wheels of the car. Suddenly my husband could see three boys in the car were getting uncomfortable in their sleep. He shouted immediately and opening our car door, rushed to the red Santro. He knocked the doors of the Santro hard, but the boys were almost senseless to respond. Then he shouted and the public from the surrounding vehicle gatherd to see what had happened. No one had any clue what to do to save those boys locked in the car and all were shouting and had made the atmosphere chaos. We all were standing next to the car just clamouring and seeing the boys die in the car. We could not understand what was happening to the boys. Some rumoured that the boys were committing suicide. The time was rushing and the boys had become completely still by now. Now there was more clamours and chaos in the atmosphere and we were doing nothing effective.
Then, my husband rushed back to our car, took a heavy iron tool from the car and rushed back to the Santro. He then gave a strong stroke to the windows of the car and broke it. He completely broke the two window panels of the left doors of the Santro. He then opened the car doors and pulled the boys out. The boys were breathing but their eyes were still shut and they were not at all responding. The rumour about their suicide again started in the crowd. Now, my husband shouted loud at the crowd to calm down. He said, as the car was closed and the windows were sealed at the same time the rain water had drowned the wheels of the car, the AC machine of the car was not able to ventilate the car and the boys were suffocated in their sleep. To this, the crowd got calm. Now our next action was to take those boys to a doctor. But the jam and the rain! We were really too panic by now.
Incidentally there was a doctor in the crowd. He came forward to check the boys and after checking them, said they were fine and there was nothing to panic about anymore. He came to my husband, greeted him and thanked him for saving three lives. The crowd came forward to greet my husband. It was 4 PM by now. The boys got back their sense and then knew about my husband. They thanked my husband. By now the traffic began to move and slowly disperse. Thus we returned to our hotel from the hectic yet memorable traffic jam.

An Unexpected Visit

II Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevaya II

Sam, Samira and I were sitting on the balcony on a summer Sunday night at our rented flat; we took in Nehru Nagar, New Delhi. And three of us suddenly felt at about 11PM, we heard someone knocking at our door. But that’s not all to our utter surprizing three of us got msg reading “An Unexpected Visit” from a same number. As the knocking was still on, three of us got call from a single number at same time!
Sam is not less than a brother to me and we were friends since the first day in our college, KIIT. He is my best buddy, but not a boyfriend. He works at Infosys and often shows off calling himself an Infy. A tall, with slender cheek bones, and well-built body; all in all, he is a smarty. Samira is my colleague at a multinational IT firm at Malvya Nagar. We know each other since two years, when I went to the testing team at Infozech regarding some technical sort out. We became friends the very day and started having lunch the same day onwards. She is a sharp girl, with beauty and brain.
By, the way, I am Ruhi a girl with high ambitions but I always take a back step in everything because of my average look which makes me feel I am of no good. I feel my protruding jaws are sufficient to bring bad lucks whenever I see myself in mirror. But Samira feels me beautiful! Anyway friends are like that, a friend always finds perfection in ever thing of her friend and she happens to be my good friend.
Three of us coincidentally happen to stay on same rented flat in the capital town. Since an year and half Samira and me had decided to stay together as first, it would be an easy life with a close friend and second, it is easy for both of us to  commute, to the same office even in late hours. We often have to stay back after office hour for our increase in work load.
Sam has been living with us since six months after he was relocated to Delhi by his company, and who else other than his buddy Ruhi, he could have contacted in this new city? I asked him to live with us, i.e. to share same flat with us. He was fine with it, but more than that his mother was relieved as he has to be under my eyes and I shall be there to take care of him. He is bit childish at times.
So, we got the msg beeps on the same time reading the same msg followed by the ring on the three phones from a single number at the same time. By now it was 11.10 PM. The door was being knocked for last 10 minutes, but we were hesitant to open it, as Delhi is not a safe city anyhow.  By now we had started fearing of all the incidences that has been happening for last 10 to 15 minutes. Samira already had wetted her eye lashes in fear. Sam was the only one to give us the moral support at this time of night. We did not have eye hole to peep, who was knocking at the door. We shouted “who is it?”, but no answer came.
Samira was constantly worshiping and reciting prayers in low voice, and I too was completely scared by this moment. Somehow, Sam gathered courage to open the door, and both Samira and I stayed at his back to see who it was.  Sam very slowly opened the door and we found nobody on the other side. We however thought it was someone’s trick. But as Sam closed the door, the same sequence repeated again instantly. We heard the knock, got the msg on three phones and followed by rings on three of ours phone at same time. We tied to receive the call but before that the call was disconnected. Sam dialled the number only to here “the number is switched off.” This time Sam again opened the door and no one was there. This thing repeated for six to seven times and by now it was 1 AM. Then we thought to call the police, and before we could dial 100, msg on our mobiles flashed “Calling the police…An unexpected visit.” Now, we were really frightened. How could anybody other than three of us know we were to call the police? Now it was 2 AM and we were completely traumatized.
Samira told she could hear someone in Sam’s room and Sam quickly rushed to his room to check. Samira and I were standing on the corridor. Sam returned finding there nobody. He then went in to Samira and my room only to find none. We were still hearing the knock at the door, getting the msg and getting calls. It was 4 AM by now. None of us could sleep last night.
Now the knock on the door stopped and we did not receive any call or msg anymore. We thought to make some tea and rest some while and then move to the police station at 6 AM and report the incident of last night. Samira and I went to make tea when we heard three male voice saying “make five cups Samira.” When Samira and I moved to the corridor, we found Satish and Rakesh along with Sam standing and laughing at us. Samira ran to Satish to say him about the last night event. Satish had a smile on his face. I saw Rakesh was also smiling hearing it. To our surprise, Sam was also smiling along them. I shouted at them “why you guys smiling? And Rakesh how you are in Delhi and Satish is also with you!”
Then Sam, Satish, and Rakesh simultaneously shouted “APRIL FOOL” and then they sang “aprilfool banaya, to tujhko ghusa aya…” Yes Rakesh is my fiancĂ©e and Satish is Samira’s boyfriend. Rakesh and Satish were on on-site project of our company at USA. These three boys had planned to make fool of us girls on the April 1st and plotted the scene of last night where Sam was playing the main role and was coordinating with the other to guys.  They had come to Delhi from USA just to make fool of us! “The guys will always remain guys” I thought. But however, it was ‘an unexpected visit’.
